Funeral Plans
Losing a loved one is undoubtedly the most painful moment that a family can face. Along with the loss comes the difficult task of organizing the funeral services. In Triple-S Vida, we want to help your family avoid this complication.
Our final expenses insurance policies cover the costs of funeral services provided by a large number of authorized Funeral Directors throughout the island. Depending on the selected plan, the services described in the insurance contract is guaranteed. These funeral insurance plans have increased death benefits at $50 per year for a term of 20 years, starting one year after the effective date of the policy.

Another Destiny
- Normal-sized coffin built of 20-gauge metal, with two-tone shade and chrome fixed handles, or its equivalent on the date of death of the insured
- Chapel and cafeteria availability for the wake, or use of equipment for wake at residence, church, or other place designated by the beneficiary or other authorized person
- Transfer of body from the place of death to the funeral home (geographical area of Puerto Rico only)
- Embalming and preparation of body, if necessary or desired by the family or the authorized person
- Hearse ride from the site of the wake to the cemetery
- Memorial cards
- Registry book
- Processing of death certificate registration and removal and burial permit
- Mourning notice on a local radio station
- Obituary in a local newspaper
- If the beneficiary or authorized person wants the funeral to be performed outside the stipulated 35-mile (56 kilometers) area, we will pay an additional amount not to exceed $25.00 to cover the cost of transportation to the desired site.
- If the remains are transferred to a point covered by the authorized Funeral Director, we will provide, through that authorized Funeral Director, hearse benefits to a distance not exceeding 35 miles (56 kilometers).
- Flower car
- Floral bouquet provided by the authorized Funeral Director (this does not refer to wreath or floral arrangement for the coffin known as “casket”)
Another Peace
- Normal-sized coffin made of built in induction-sealed metal, with chrome fixed handles in one or two tones, or its equivalent on the date of death of the insured
- If death occurs in the continental United States, St. Thomas, or St. Croix, the authorized Funeral Director will provide air transportation of the body to Puerto Rico.
- Chapel and cafeteria availability for the wake, or use of equipment for wake at residence, church, or other place designated by the beneficiary or other authorized person
- Transfer of body from the place of death to the funeral home (geographical area of Puerto Rico only)
- Embalming and preparation of body, if necessary or desired by the family or the authorized person
- Hearse ride from the site of the wake to the cemetery
- Memorial cards
- Registry book
- Processing of death certificate registration and removal and burial permit
- Mourning notice on a local radio station

Another Path
- Collection of body from the place of death, transfer to the Institute of Forensic Sciences if necessary or required, and later transfer to the place of cremation.
- Processing of the permit from the Institute of Forensic Sciences for the cremation of the corpse
- Processing of death certificate registration and removal and burial permit
- Delivery of cremated remains (in sanitary urn) at funeral home
- Use of chapel for two hours for memorial service
- Registry book
- 100 memorial cards
